Short Biography:

Dr. Arvin Taneja is a fully trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon with specialized training in aesthetic and cosmetic surgery. He is also experienced in various reconstructive surgeries to restore body parts to their natural form after accidents, injuries, or cancer. 
Dr. Taneja received his bachelor’s of science in biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside in 1993. After graduating from medical school, he completed his general surgery internship at the University of Hawaii. He trained at the world-renowned Queen’s Hospital where he hosted a television show for The Learning Channel’s –TRAUMA LIFE IN THE ER. 

Following his internship, he trained at San Joaquin General Hospital and the University of California, Davis in general surgery. Dr. Taneja then entered his plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at St. Joseph Hospital and the University of Houston/Texas where the breast implant was first invented. He served as Chief Resident in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from 2003 to 2004. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. 

Dr.Taneja has co-authored several papers and has written a chapter in the Art of Aesthetic Surgery on treatment of breast disorders and asymmetries He has been a contributor to anatomy textbooks that are used in medical schools all across the world. In addition, he has written several papers on breast lifts and breast augmentations with minimal scarring, along with articles on breast reconstruction following cancer. He is a regular contributor for local magazines such as Orange County Health and Ziba Beauty Magazine. He also serves as a guest for several popular radio shows in Southern California. He performs over 600 cosmetic procedures a year, and is one of the few plastic surgeons in Southern California performing the Brazilian buttock lift, buttock implants, and breast implants via the belly button (TUBA). Finally, Dr Taneja is heavily involved in Physicians for Peace, an international volunteer organization dedicated to building peace and international friendships through medicine. With physicians for peace, his plastic and reconstructive surgery expertise has been used to help many underserved patients in countries such as the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
